"Everly Lane was labor of love for sure. I was really worried about a lot of things...the main one being that I never had any plans to release a solo album when I started this whole journey into music full-time. I had always wanted to put a band together and release albums; allowing the material to be written organically as a group and allowed room to grow with every show at which it was played until you cut it on the album. Of course, what I learned is that I could still very much have the collaborative spirit in the solo album by collaborating with a lot of different great songwriters...most of them being my good friends. When I learned, for myself, that the core reason for never having this vision in the first place was just my fear of looking bad, then everything became so much easier and felt that much more natural."
"I am very excited to get out and play some shows after the album has been released. For me as a solo artist and performer, this means that I get to provide an experience with my music for the listener and, if they really dig it, they can finally leave the venue with a musical snapshot of that show. They then spend the next few weeks listening to certain tracks over and over again until they decide to allow the music to be a bonified cut in the soundtrack of their life at that period of time. It's the greatest complement and gift that a fan can give to a musician." - Colby
